Warmer months allow the many balcony doors to be opened up, beckoning in the spring and summer air into the living spaces of the house. Dining on the veranda is a must when you’re in such a special spot and the kitchen (and the enormous wine fridge) is never too far away.
As autumn moves into winter, yet more opportunities arise in this most special of places. As the sun rises in the morning, overhead you are treated to skeins of Pink Footed and Barnacle Geese moving from their overnight saltmarsh roosts to the bountiful sugar beet fields of the nearby farmland. There can be no better start to the day than to witness the sight and sounds of thousands of geese overhead. A scene that is repeated in reverse as dusk closes in and they head back to the protection of the marshes, all set against the burning pink and orange skies that Norfolk is famed for.
Come rain or shine, the large, private hot tub in the garden provides guests with a warm place to retreat or, for the more energetic, the enclosed gymnasium allows guests to work off the results of any over-indulgence from the night before.
Further excitement can be found in the cinema room on the ground floor. This room provides modern entertainment systems and large projector screen. The room also features a pool table.
For those looking to entertain guests, the fantastically appointed central kitchen and dining area is ideal for hiring a private chef, while you enjoy the company of your friends surrounded by the impressive backdrop provided by the floor to ceiling glass walls. Truly stunning!
The property does allow dogs but guests are asked to respect the owners wishes and only allow them into the entrance hall, kitchen/dining space and the utility room. Dogs are never allowed downstairs into the carpeted areas or the bedrooms. Security deposit will be withheld to cover professional carpet cleaning if this is transgressed.
Bedrooms and Bathrooms Six stunning bedrooms await, all with en suite facilities, TV’s and ample storage. Everyone staying at Salt Marsh House can enjoy the same level of comfort, although the master bedroom and its en suite is truly spectacular (surely a bonus for the organiser!).
Kitchen, Reception and Media Rooms The property boasts three generously sized rooms in which you can entertain guests; an open plan kitchen/dining area, a comfy lounge and the cinema/media room. The kitchen and dining room area forms the central hub of the house, around which the main balcony, garden and bedrooms are located. With dramatic high ceilings and the amazing views allowed by the glass walls, this is a special place to gather, whether it be for an occasion or just a read of the paper in the morning.
The kitchen is fitted with all of the equipment and inventory that you would expect. Included are; ceramic hob, two Wolf ovens, Wolf proving draw, large fridge and freezer, wine fridges, two dishwashers, Miele coffee machine, microwave and toaster.
The adjacent dining area comfortably accommodates a group of 12 people and you can easily imagine spending serious amounts of time enjoying good food and wine from this comfortable, privileged spot. The room also has a large, Apple enabled widescreen TV.
From here, you can travel up the short staircase and arrive at the uber-comfy and relaxed lounge. Here you’ll be able to sink into the sofa and enjoy the use of the statement piece wood burner, large widescreen TV, or just soak up the view with the aid of the large spyglass that remains trained upon the coastline.
Heading downstairs from the dining area, you’ll discover the media room with its pool table. Many an hour can be enjoyed in this area, especially useful if you have teenagers to entertain. Other media includes an Xbox One and Sonos throughout the house.
Outside there is a discretely placed hot tub in the corner of the garden with a maximum capacity of eight people and adjacent to this there is a separate gymnasium.
There are several terraces and balconies around the outside of the property. At the front of the property there is abundant off road parking on a gated driveway.
